Third time is a charm right?
We are certainly hoping that is the case with the Sydney Tweed Ride re re rescheduled to be on this Sunday July 21st.
Sign in from 8am at Town Hall with the ride leaving promptly at 9am for a nice genteel ride through the streets of the city before we stop for a Picnic.
Remember to wear your best Tweedy outfit, practise your royal wave (for when you are stopped at red lights), wear your helmet and bring something yummy for the picnic.
The ride for the 14th of July is going to be postponed.
While we make every effort to ensure this free event doesn’t clash with other events in this fine city of ours it seems this week we will be clashing with a large running event and some track work on the trains. We have been inundated with requests to move the ride as people are either running, can’t make it due to the track works and a myriad of other issues.
So to comply with your wishes we are not having the ride this weekend and instead will reschedule it for another weekend.
For those of you who were ready to Tweed this weekend we do apologise, we do try oh so hard to keep everyone happy but invariably we can’t do it all.
Stay tuned for a new date to be announced soon.
Sydney Tweed Ride Organisers
After the ride had to be postponed due to bad weather we are adding a bit of French Flair to the ride and having it on Bastille Day!
Due to the wet weather and not looking like it is going to get any better by tomorrow the decision has been made to postpone The Sydney Tweed Ride.
Please help spread the word to as many people as possible to avoid anyone getting up in the morning and being all soggy.
Once we have a new date we will let you all know.
The Sydney Tweed Ride Team
While we are all hoping the weather will be fine for this weekend’s Sydney Tweed Ride we also want to be realistic.
So the plan is, if the weather is too bad to actually have the ride the decision will be made on SUNDAY morning and the information will be spread out via Twitter, Facebook and right here on the blog.
Till then get your Tweeds ready, pack your picnics and be ready to ride!
With the ride less than a week away we have been calling for volunteers to help make the day run smoothly.
If you love the event and want to see it continue every year then please consider lending a hand. Your task never takes long and leaves you free to enjoy the rest of the ride.
If you can help out please get in contact prior to the day so we can allocate tasks.
